The Thokozani Suites

The Thokozani suites will be clustered around an historic cottage, which will be sold to the Thokozani property company and supplemented in due course by new buildings. The new cottages housing the conference accommodation and an additional conference room, which are being designed by ARG design ( A Cape Town 'empowered' architectural firm) are at the heart of the new company’s asset base. Land will be acquired from Diemersfontein at commercial value less 20%. Buildings to house conference delegates will be planned so as to retain values as freehold residences. It is estimated that we will be able to construct an additional 15 rooms over five years, depending on the level of success and our ability to attract external investment.

Markets

The corporate sector, within 100km radius, would be our main focus. The end-users of specialised products e.g. team building, those needing a venue with pre-existing equipment and the ability to accommodate out-of-towners. Our research reveals that we could have hosted many more conferences had there been more overnight accommodation available

Margin policy

Thokozani will charge a 10% sales commission on the total conference income, from which it will pay its expenses, and will receive 100% of the income from the rooms component of the Bed and Breakfast rate for the rooms owned / rented by Thokozani, which currently stands at R350 pp
